KUALA LUMPUR, March 29 (Bernama) -- The national para cycling squad won two gold medals in sprint events at the 2026 Asian Track Cycling Championship (ACC) in Tagaytay, the Philippines today.
Mohamad Yusof Hafizi Shaharuddin won the first gold medal in the C1 (physical disability) category by beating Saudi cyclist Abas Alhashim in the final.
The second gold was won by Ahmad Zharif Ahmad Nazri in the C5 (physical disability) category, while teammate Zuhairie Ahmad Tarmizi was second, and Ruito Kameda of Japan was third.
National women’s para track cyclist Nur Suraiya Muhamad Zamri had won the gold medal in the women’s B (visual disability) category sprint event yesterday, beating Kazakhstan cyclist Kalaus Anastassiya in the final.
