KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- Bank Rakyat has offered a flood assistance facility that includes a moratorium of up to six months to individual and business customers affected by the floods.
According to Bank Rakyat acting chief executive officer Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff, as a concerned Islamic financial institution, the moratorium facility is expected to provide relief and reduce customers' financial burdens.
"Bank Rakyat customers facing difficulties financing payments for subscribed products can apply for this moratorium," he said in a statement today.
This includes Personal Financing-i, Home Financing-i, Vehicle Financing-i, Vehicle Leasing-i, Education Financing-i, Micro-Financing-i, Credit Cards-i and deferred profit payments for Pawn Broking-i.
Affected customers can apply for the moratorium by emailing bantubanjir@bankrakyat.com.my and provide their full name, identity card number, affected address, mobile phone number, type of financing and a copy of the utility bill confirming the customer's address.
For affected Bank Rakyat Credit Card-i holders, customers can apply via e-mail kkredit@bankrakyat.com.my, call the Bank Rakyat card centre hotline at 03-2693 6880, visit the Bank Rakyat card centre or any bank branch.
