Hunza Says Senze@PICC Progressing Well, Homeowners Can Expect To Receive Keys In 2027

GEORGE TOWN, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- Construction of Hunza Properties Bhd's latest flagship development, Senze@PICC, is progressing well, with purchasers expected to receive keys to their homes in 2027.

Group executive director Khor Tze Ming said the development is anticipated to receive the certificate of completion and compliance (CCC) by the fourth quarter of next year. The Penang-based developer will allocate another six months for the renovation of the 1,680 fully furnished units across three towers. 

"Construction is progressing very well, as clearly seen when we drive by Jalan Tun Dr Awang, and the response has been encouraging from both local and foreign buyers," she told reporters after the launch of six show units for Senze@PICC at Penang International Commercial City (PICC) Sales Gallery in Bayan Lepas here last night. 

Khor said Senze@PICC, the first fully furnished serviced residence development by Hunza, offers a variety of units ranging from a 657 sq ft two-bedroom unit to a 1,561 sq ft 3+1 bedroom unit, with a price tag of about RM1,200 per sq ft. 

She said located within the development’s vicinity is a shopping mall that is expected to be the largest in the northern region, as well as the tallest commercial tower in the state, which would house an MSC-certified Global Business Services offices as well as an international-brand hotel.  "The Mutiara Line LRT will also be connected to the commercial city, where the LRT groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Jan 11 next week, thus seamlessly enhancing accessibility within and beyond the PICC," she added. 

Moving forward, Khor said Hunza would break ground on several projects on the island and mainland Penang, which would include a first high-rise development in Bertam township and another affordable housing project on the island.

Meanwhile, group chief executive officer of sales and marketing Datuk Lily Tan said Hunza has started “early bird” sales for Tower C of Senze@PICC since May last year and the tower is currently 40 per cent taken up.  Tan said it would start opening up sales for Tower A from Feb 16 while Tower B would be launched at a later date.
