Agro Madani Combo Sales Package Takes Centre Stage In Manjoi

IPOH, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- The combo package, which includes 10 kilogrammes (kg) of rice, one-kg packet of cooking oil and one kg of vegetables, priced at RM30 was the attraction at the Agro MADANI Sales in the Tambun constituency, located at Padang Lintau, Kampung Tengku Hussein in Manjoi, near here.

A check by Bernama at the sales venue, it was observed that over 200 combos were sold within just half an hour of the sale's commencement at 8 am.

Most visitors, predominantly residents of Manjoi, eagerly seized the opportunity to purchase the combo sales package, recognising its value compared to the higher prices typically seen in the market.

Abdul Manaf Sharif, a 47-year-old resident of Jelapang, said he came with the intention of purchasing local rice at a more affordable price for his family.

"I am keen on the combo sales package - it's a fantastic deal bundling rice, cooking oil, vegetables, and even onions, offering substantial savings," he shared enthusiastically.

"When you compare the price of Agro MADANI rice here to what you find in shops or supermarkets, it's a steal. My family consumes about 20 kg of rice a month, so every ringgit saved counts," he said when met here today.

Siti Fauziah Abd Rani, 45, from Kampung Dato Ahmad Said Tambahan Baru, expressed her delight at finally securing a satisfying supply of rice at remarkably low prices.

"Last November, at the Agro MADANI Sales in Meru, I missed out on buying rice altogether. But this time around, I managed to purchase it at an exceptionally reasonable rate

“I bought rice, eggs and fresh chicken, including meat, at significantly lower prices compared to market rates. Having access to such a programme is truly a blessing, as it helps us save a considerable amount on our monthly expenses," she said.

Muhammad Izham Azman, 31, from Lahat, emphasised the significant relief the sales programme provides to individuals grappling with the escalating cost of living

Izham also commended the affordability of chicken at the event, where a 1.4 kg chicken is available for RM10, and customers have the option to have it pre-cut at no extra cost, with the freedom to select their preferred parts.
