KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 (Bernama) -- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers and the general public are invited to attend the ‘Jelajah Pendidikan TVET dan Kerjaya Badan Beruniform Selangor’, scheduled to take place at the MBPJ Civic Hall on March 23 and 24.
Organising committee chairman, Dr G. Gunaraj, said SPM leavers should use the TVET education and uniformed bodies career carnival as an opportunity to gather essential information and guidance for charting their career paths after completing school.
“Many students wonder about their options upon completing their studies. The programme is designed to help students choose courses that align with their passions and ambitions.
“Everything is under one roof. Apart from the uniformed bodies, there is also the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector, agriculture, animal husbandry and other technical fields,” he said when appearing as a guest on Bernama TV’s Apa Khabar Malaysia programme today.
Gunaraj, who is also Sentosa assemblyman, said 35 booths will be set up during the event, featuring not only uniformed bodies such as the Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysian Armed Forces, and the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department but also government agencies and higher education institutions.
In a separate segment, Pertubuhan Malaysia MADANI (MyMADANI), a non-governmental organisation, will partner with local authorities across the country to implement the ‘Bazaria MADANI’ project as a short-term strategy to empower micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
MyMADANI chairman Mohd Bakthiar Yusof said the project will start in the Klang Valley before expanding nationwide.
“With the support of strategic partners, the time has come for us to organise a carnival or fair that focuses on rural areas, starting with a small scale,” he said.
