PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN MASHARIQ AND TH ENHANCES COMFORT FOR MALAYSIAN HAJ PILGRIMS

MAKKAH, June 8 (Bernama) -- The success achieved by Mashariq Holdings and Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) is the result of teamwork and partnership in effective planning to ensure the needs and comfort of haj pilgrims are met.

Al-Masyariq Al Masiyah board chairman Ali Hussein Al Bundugi highlighted that this collaboration is not new but has been established for three decades, starting from his father’s leadership of the company.

“This long-term cooperation enables comprehensive strategic planning and early preparation. This means both parties can anticipate future needs and challenges, making it easier to address them proactively.

“With stable long-term cooperation, organisations can allocate resources more effectively, including financial investments, personnel and time, thus ensuring that all necessary areas receive sufficient support,” he told TH media personnel at his office recently.

Mashariq is a company tasked with providing essential facilities and services for Malaysian pilgrims, particularly in Arafah, Muzdalifah and Mina during the culmination of the haj pilgrimage, or masyair.

According to Ali Hussein, early preparation and continuous cooperation help ensure that all compliance and certification requirements are met, which is vital in maintaining standards and obtaining necessary approvals.

“For example, this cooperation yielded results when we were honored by the Saudi authorities to choose tent sites in Arafah and Mina, which provided significant advantages to us and TH.

“We were also able to make several improvements and create an innovative environment, such as installing carpets at both tent sites, adding air conditioning units apart from those provided by the Saudi authorities and setting up hot and cold water stations,” he said.

Ali Hussein further said that this long-term cooperation helps identify potential risks, allowing both entities to devise strategies to address future problems and ensure smooth operations.

This cooperation has successfully demonstrated TH’s ability as a solid organisation to manage haj pilgrims, which earned worldwide recognition, he added.

He also said that the success achieved by Malaysia, particularly TH, has led countries like Sudan and Thailand to also sign long-term partnerships with the company to ensure the comfort of their haj pilgrims.

In addition to Malaysia, China, Sudan and Thailand, two African countries, Guinea and Rwanda, have become new countries managed by Mashariq.
