KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia International Healthcare (MIH) Megatrends 2024 will bring together global healthcare leaders, innovators and policymakers to explore cutting-edge solutions and technology that will define the future of healthcare.
The nation’s premier healthcare event, which is set to take place from tomorrow until Oct 27 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will feature in-depth discussions on pivotal healthcare topics such as the transformative potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.
According to KPJ Healthcare, other topics include the future of national health financing, public-private partnerships aimed at sustainable healthcare, the implementation of value-based care models and the evolution of precision medicine.
"This three-day conference enables medical professionals, technologists and engineers to obtain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points and is open to all healthcare professionals, stakeholders and members of the public who are interested in learning about the latest in healthcare innovation and meeting like-minded individuals working to shape the future of healthcare," it said in a statement today.
The event is organised by the Ministry of Health (MOH), in collaboration with KPJ Healthcare and in strategic partnership with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
KPJ Healthcare said attendees will benefit from insights shared by over 40 globally renowned speakers, including experts such as Dr Bertalan Mesko (The Medical Futurist), Dr Luqman Lawal (Healthcare AI Innovator), Professor Julia Rucklidge (Clinical Psychologist), Prof Jeffrey Braithwaite (Healthcare Systems Innovator) and Dr Mohd Lutfi Fadil Lokman (Digital Health Entrepreneur).
It noted that the event spans two exhibition floors - Life Sciences Frontier Floor and Future Healthcare Frontier Floor.
Designed for business-to-business segment, it said the exhibition will showcase an array of exhibitors, host pocket talks and sharing sessions led by doctors and health influencers, as well as product demonstrations and free health screenings and consultations by MoH and KPJ Healthcare.
Meanwhile, the Future Healthcare Frontier Floor geared towards the business-to-consumer audience, and will showcase dynamic exhibitors, the MIH Live+ Studio featuring exciting guest speakers, pocket talks and key opinion leader (KOL) sessions.
It said attendees can also enjoy the Kids Zone, which offers a variety of activities, including special appearances by Didi and Friends, clay classes, sensory play and an indoor playground.
