Five Experts Appointed As Advisors To Malaysian Youth Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 (Bernama) -- Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul today presented appointment letters to five distinguished individuals named as Advisors to the Malaysian Youth Parliament (PBMy), each bringing expertise from diverse fields.

The appointees include former Director-General of Public Service Department Tan Sri Borhan Dollah, who will serve as chairman of the advisory panel, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan and Director of Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Ts Khairul Anuar Ishak.

Also appointed were Associate Professor Ts Dr Noor Haida Mohd Kaus from Universiti Sains Malaysia and Associate Professor Dr Hazman Samsudin, an economic analyst from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.

In a statement, the Malaysian Parliament said the advisory panel will help chart the direction of PBMy, strengthen leadership training and build high-impact networks to elevate youth voices at the national policymaking level.

“With the appointment of these reputable figures, PBMy is expected to enter a new, more progressive and strategic phase,” the statement said.

The ceremony was also witnessed by Malaysian Parliament Chief Administrator Datuk Ahmad Husaini Abdul Rahman and the PBMy central secretariat, reflecting strong support for empowering the nation’s young leaders.
