PUTRAJAYA, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- The Putrajaya Festival of Ideas (Putrajaya FOI) 2025 will be held on a larger scale and expanded nationwide, covering all 13 states throughout October, the Higher Education Ministry (MOHE) said today.
In a statement, MOHE said the Festival of Ideas @ State will tour public universities, in synergy with polytechnics and community colleges, with the main event to be held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) from Nov 4 to 8.
“With the theme ‘MADANI: Shaping the Future, Realising Ideas’, Putrajaya FOI 2025 is a manifestation of a whole-of-government collaboration, involving various ministries, agencies and industries to generate intellectual discourse and innovations to be shared with the people,” said MOHE.
MOHE said Putrajaya FOI 2025 will feature a variety of high-impact programmes, including conferences, forums, exhibitions, and engagement sessions focusing on higher education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship.
“A special space will also be provided for students to showcase their creativity and innovations, offering bold and fresh perspectives for the future,” the statement added.
In line with the Malaysia MADANI agenda, MOHE said the festival is expected to strengthen human capital development and enhance collaboration between higher learning institutions, industry and the community.
“It will also accelerate Malaysia’s progress as a regional hub for knowledge and innovation.
“Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officiate at the festival’s opening ceremony on Nov 5. A Royal Address is also planned as part of Putrajaya FOI 2025,” MOHE said.
MOHE expressed confidence that Putrajaya FOI, which is into its second year, will not only serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas but also as a key avenue to realise knowledge- and creativity-based solutions for the well-being of the people and the nation’s advancement.
