RM31.06 Mln Set Aside For Repairs, Upgrades In Johor Bahru - State Exco

JOHOR BAHRU, April 14 (Bernama) -- The Johor state government has allocated RM31.06 million this year to implement 77 projects, involving repairs, upgrades and improvements to infrastructure and public facilities in the Johor Bahru district.

State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor said 10 projects have been identified for immediate approval, with priority given to disaster-related needs, social aspects and safety.

“At today’s Johor Bahru State Legislative Assembly Action Meeting (MTD), 288 matters were discussed. Of these, 79 issues have been resolved, while 92 are currently being implemented,” he said in a Facebook post after representing Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi at the meeting today.

The MTD covered Larkin, Stulang, Kempas, Perling, Kota Iskandar, Skudai, Permas, Johor Jaya, Tiram and Puteri Wangsa state constituencies.

He said the projects are designed not only for physical development but also to benefit the public, including improvements to drainage systems to reduce flood risks, upgrades to roads and public amenities, as well as enhancements to community and educational facilities.

Mohd Jafni added that Onn Hafiz has instructed all relevant agencies to act swiftly to expedite the approval and implementation of the projects.
