KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 30 (Bernama) -- The gold futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher on Friday.
The August 2024 contract fell to US$2,524.20 per troy ounce from Thursday’s US$2,535.60 per troy ounce, while September 2024 increased to US$2,546.50 from US$2,539.30.
The October 2024, November 2024, December 2024 and February 2025 contracts all settled slightly higher at US$2,548.80 per troy ounce from US$2,541.60 per troy ounce yesterday.
Volume went down to four lots from 36 lots yesterday, while open interest slid to 37 contracts from 77 contracts on Thursday.
The price of physical gold stood at US$2,518.10 per troy ounce, according to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Aug 29.
