MPBN TO BE MORE INCLUSIVE, APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR MINISTER-APPOINTED MEMBERS

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Ministry of Youth and Sports has opened applications for the selection of Minister-appointed members to the National Youth Consultative Council (MPBN) for its 35th term, the 2025-2026 session, to make the council more inclusive.

Its Deputy Minister, Adam Adli Abdul Halim, said the new approach aims to amplify the voices of youth from diverse backgrounds, including para-athletes and youth from Sabah and Sarawak.

“This initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to elevating youth voices from diverse perspectives and backgrounds to the highest level in a fair and balanced manner,” he said during the question-and-answer session in the Dewan Rakyat today, in response to a question from Yeo Bee Yin (PH-Puchong) on the government’s efforts to strengthen MPBN as a platform for youth.

Adam Adli said the move is part of the ministry’s ongoing improvements, in addition to reinstating the MPBN conference, which will be held twice a year, starting last year, with live broadcasts on social media platforms.
