KUANTAN, July 29 (Bernama) -- The Regent of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, graced a thanksgiving and prayer ceremony in conjunction with the 63rd Birthday of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Mosque, Indera Mahkota, here.
Al-Sultan Abdullah, who was born on July 30, 1959, now resides at the Istana Negara after being installed as the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong in 2019.
Tengku Hassanal’s arrival, at 6.30 pm, was accompanied by Tengku Panglima Raja Colonel Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah and the Pahang royal family.
Also present were the Pahang state government administration led by Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, and heads of departments.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Yassin and a prayer of thanksgiving for the birthday of Al-Sultan Abdullah, led by Pahang Mufti, Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Rahman Osman, before prayers to mark the end of the year 1443 Hijrah and the beginning of the year 1444 Hijrah.
Tengku Hassanal then performed the Maghrib prayers with the congregation, led by Mohamad Syaheed Sabri.
