PUTRAJAYA, May 6 (Bernama) -- The Segamat district could benefit from the implementation of community garden and waste to wealth policies adopted by the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Dr. Zaliha Mustafa stated that this initiative indirectly promotes environmental sustainability and provides economic benefits to the local community.

She said that the matter was discussed by the Federal Territories delegation aimed at exploring possible cooperation between the Federal Territories Department (JWP), Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), and Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) with the Segamat Municipal Council (MPS).

"The combination of expertise and resources from these three local authorities opens up opportunities to enhance the quality of life for residents in both the Federal Territories and the Segamat district," she said in a statement today.

She further added that as a result of the discussions, a special team would be formed to continue discussions and plan the next steps.

JWP also welcomes and extends an invitation to officers from MPS to visit Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to witness the smart city initiatives adopted, she added.
