KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6 (Bernama) – The Rural and Regional Development Ministry (KKDW) today held its Budget 2025 Dialogue Session, bringing together over 1,000 representatives from various stakeholders and industry players across the country.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister, chaired the session and highlighted the importance of gathering insights and suggestions from stakeholders to help shape a more inclusive national budget.

He said these contributions will assist the Finance Ministry’s Budget team in preparing an inclusive Budget 2025 speech.

“Alhamdulillah, I started this blessed Friday by chairing the KKDW 2025 Budget Dialogue Session, which brought together over 1,000 representatives from various stakeholder groups and industry players. I am pleased to see how technology was effectively used to facilitate this dialogue, engaging stakeholders from across the country.

“The attendees included representatives from business associations, cooperatives, entrepreneurs, non-governmental organisations, academics, students, community representatives, subsidiaries, government agencies and department heads under KKDW,” Ahmad Zahid said in a Facebook post today.

He said the hybrid nature of the session, combining both physical and online participation, reflected Malaysia’s progress in utilising technology to engage stakeholders more efficiently.

“Throughout the dialogue, I attentively considered every view and suggestion. All of the feedback gathered will be passed on to the Finance Ministry’s Budget team for careful consideration as they finalise Budget 2025, which the Prime Minister will present in October.

“I sincerely thank all those who contributed their ideas and insights. I hope our efforts today will help create a Budget 2025 that is more inclusive and meets the real needs of the people, particularly those in rural communities whom we are committed to serving,” Zahid added.
