KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 (Bernama) – Four professional Muaythai exponents from Malaysia won the 2024 MADANI Muaythai Rentap Night Pandan Championship after claiming three of the five belts and one trophy on offer.
In the action at the Taman Nirwana Goodwill Complex yesterday, the three belts were won by Fuad Izuan, Muhammad Aiekal Asyraf Muhammad Jamil and Putra Farez in the 58kg, 59kg and 60kg categories respectively.
Meanwhile, another professional fighter from Malaysia, Muhammad Iqbal Daniel Khairudin managed to bring home the trophy in the 52kg category after defeating compatriot Nur Muhammad Hayul.
Apart from Malaysia, fighters from Iran and Cambodia also excelled with each taking home a belt from the tournament.
Iran's Sahoo Gheisaran defeated his Cambodian opponent Um Cham Voeum to take home the international 70kg belt.
Meanwhile, another Cambodian athlete, Pong Pisith, ensured that his country would not be left empty-handed when he won the international 60 kg category after defeating Malaysia's representative, Thinaharan.
The tournament was officiated by the Political Secretary to the Minister of Finance, Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim.
