KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 3 (Bernama) -- Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd’s (AZRB) wholly-owned subsidiary, Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd (AZSB) has been awarded a contract worth RM63.5 million by the Public Works Department for the construction of a bridge in Kampung Binjai, Kuala Lipis, Pahang.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, it said that the new project is another milestone for the AZRB Group and is a testament to AZRB’s good track record of completing similar projects.

"The board is of the opinion that the acceptance of this new project is in the best interest of the company and is confident that the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings,” it said.

The project duration is 36 months, commencing from Feb 12, 2025.

The new bridge will span approximately 400 meters in length and 11 meters in width, crossing Sungai Lipis in Pahang, connecting the Federal Route (FT08) to Kampung Binjai.

AZRB said the project will support the group’s ongoing strategic plans, continued growth and success over the next three years.

In recent years, the group’s engineering and construction division, primarily through AZSB, has completed a number of notable infrastructure projects, namely the Jambatan Putra in Kuantan, Pahang; the MRT Kajang Line Packages V6 and S6; and the MRT Putrajaya Line Packages V202, S202 and S206.
