KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 (Bernama) -- The number of flood victims in Sabah and Sarawak continues to drop, with only 309 victims remaining at three Temporary Relief Centres (PPS) in both states as of 8 pm tonight, compared to 374 in the afternoon.
In SABAH, the State Disaster Management Committee has reported that the number of flood victims in Kinabatangan continues to decrease, with 107 people from (29 families) remaining, compared to 169 people (43 families) as at 4 pm today.
"One Temporary Relief Centre (PPS) in Kinabatangan was closed tonight, leaving only one PPS still open in the district," said the committee.
Meanwhile in SARAWAK, the number of flood victims at two Temporary Relief Centres (PPS), namely in the Miri Division has dropped to 202 people at 8 pm tonight, compared to 205 people in the afternoon.
The State Disaster Management Committee reported that the two PPS are at the Beluru Community Hall, which currently houses 137 victims, down from 140 previously, and at SMK Bakong Beluru, which remains at 65 victims.
