KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 struck west of Macquarie Island, Australia at 7.22 pm today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the quake occurred at a depth of 61 kilometres (km) and was detected 1,544 km south of Tasmania, Australia.
“There is no tsunami threat to Malaysia,” it said.
