KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck the Banda Sea, Indonesia, at 10.45 am today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the quake occurred at a depth of 655 kilometres (km) and was located 293 km southeast of Kendari, Indonesia.
However, it posed no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
