KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- A weak earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale was detected in the waters off Batu Pahat, Johor, at 1.17 am today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a Facebook post, MetMalaysia said the epicentre of the earthquake was located 20km southwest of Batu Pahat at a depth of 10km.
“Tremors may have been felt in areas around Batu Pahat, Johor. MetMalaysia will continue to monitor the situation,” it said.
