ATTRACTIVE LAST DAY OFFERS AT EASTERN ZONE MADANI RAKYAT 2024

KUANTAN, July 7 (Bernama) -- The third day of the 2024 Eastern Zone MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) at Dataran Sayangi Kuantan here is the last opportunity for the public, especially those living on the east coast, to grab a variety of special offers besides interesting activities prepared before the event comes to a close today.

The third day of the PMR started with a half-marathon that included 5 kilometres (km), 10 km and 21 km runs as early as 4 am around Kuantan.

Today's focus is definitely on the old helmet exchange programme at the Road Transport Department (RTD) which has 750 units remaining, while the public also have the opportunity to get tree saplings distributed by the Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Department.

For those who have traffic summonses, today is also the last chance to get a discount of up to 50 per cent at the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) summons payment counter that has been open since the opening day.

The programme which began on Friday also presented interesting activities to visitors such as the E-Sports Competition, followed by the Roti Canai Competition between Villages, the Tea Pulling Competition, the Special Writing Competition as well as the Patin Fish Cooking Competition which was specially brought by the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) on the main stage.

The public can also participate in activities at the stalls such as aero dance and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) demonstrations by the Ministry of Health and Space Exploration: From Earth to Universe with Planet VR as well as Colourful Life Magic Science by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Eastern Zone MADANI Rakyat Programme is a continuation of the One-Year with the MADANI Government programme, which has been extended to the state level by zone to give the community the opportunity to understand, see and evaluate new policies and initiatives implemented by the federal government in improving the well-being of the people.

Organised by the Prime Minister's Office through the Project Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU), this programme also received strategic cooperation from KKDW and the Pahang government.
