Iraqi Judoka First Athlete To Fail Doping Test At Paris Olympics

PARIS, July 27 (Bernama-dpa) -- Iraqi judoka Sajjad Sehen has become the first athlete to fail a doping test at the Paris Olympics, the International Testing Agency (ITA) announced on Friday, German news agency (dpa) reported.

The ITA said that Sehen tested positive for the banned steroids metandienone and boldenone at an out-of-competition test on Tuesday.

It said the 28-year-old "is prevented from competing, training, coaching, or participating in any activity, during the Olympic Games Paris 2024."

Sehen was due to compete in the 81 kilogramme event on Tuesday.
