KUCHING, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- Kuching City FC lost 0-1 at home to Sabah FC in their Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match in Sarawak State Stadium here tonight.
The visitors scored the first and only goal of the match in the first half, a clean shot from Muhammad Farhan Roslan in the 32nd minute to put Sabah FC firmly in the driver’s seat.
Kuching City tried to rally in the second half, yet all attempts at goal were hampered by Sabah’s solid defense.
There were several yellow cards shown as tension grew among players from both teams with the passing of each minute.
Kuching City still failed to find an equaliser, even with the extra five minutes of injury time, allowing the match to end 0-1 in Sabah’s favour.
