KUANTAN, Jan 17 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) carried out a mercy flight yesterday, transporting a one-month-old baby boy from Pulau Tioman, Rompin, to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for urgent medical attention.
In a statement, the RMAF said Muhammad Emir Mikhyl Muhammad Izral Haziq, suspected of having sepsis, was flown to the Kuantan RMAF Base at 5 pm aboard an EC 725 AP helicopter from the No. 10 Squadron.
"The helicopter conducted a MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation) mission to transport the baby and his mother, Nur Anis Hidayah Mohd Nazari. They landed safely at the Kuantan RMAF Base and were promptly taken to the hospital.
"We hope the baby undergoes treatment smoothly and makes a full recovery," the statement added.
