Pos Malaysia Opens 50th Pos Shop In Penang

GEORGE TOWN, Jan 17 (Bernama) --  Pos Malaysia Berhad today marked a significant milestone with the opening of its 50th Pos Shop, located on Jalan Dato Keramat, Penang.

The new outlet offers a convenient and comprehensive retail experience, going beyond traditional postal and parcel services.

Pos Malaysia Group chief executive officer Charles Brewer said this latest Pos Shop represents a key achievement in the company’s transformational journey as it continues to innovate and meet the evolving needs of today’s consumers.

"This marks the successful achievement of our ambitious goal to open 50 Pos Shop locations nationwide, collectively serving over 630,000 customers," he told reporters during the launch ceremony, which was officiated by Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

Brewer pointed out that the Dato Keramat store is the fifth location in Penang, joining existing outlets in Perai, Kepala Batas, Batu Maung, and Gelugor. This expansion underscores Pos Malaysia’s commitment to bringing services closer to the people of Penang.

Spanning over 800 square feet, Pos Shop Dato Keramat combines a fully operational post office with a cozy, welcoming retail space. It offers a variety of services, including parcel drop-offs, bill payments, mobile and e-wallet reloads, as well as a range of everyday essentials.

"In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year, Pos Shop has launched a festive menu featuring the refreshing Tangerine Sunshine beverage and other tasty treats. Customers can enjoy special promotional prices on these new items, along with other exciting offers as part of the ‘Promo Paling Ong’ campaign. This promotion is available across all 50 Pos Shop outlets until Feb 28," Brewer added.

The first Pos Shop outlet opened in Jalan Medan Tuanku, Kuala Lumpur in May 2023 and since then, Pos Shop has rapidly expanded its presence across both Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.
