KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- The Terengganu Immigration Department (JIM) has detained 13 illegal immigrants, including four children, during an integrated operation across three districts yesterday.
Its director, Mohd Yusri Mohd Nor told Bernama that the detainees comprised eight Thais, four Cambodians, and one Bangladeshi, aged between six and 58 years old.
He said the operation, conducted in collaboration with the Kuala Terengganu City Council (MBKT), covered 11 locations, including reflexology centres, construction sites, restaurants and private residences.
He added that two local men, aged 30 and 39, were also issued notices to assist investigations for allegedly harbouring illegal immigrants and that all those detained were sent to the Ajil Immigration Depot for processing.
