LONDON, April 29 (PA Media/dpa) -- Cadillac have unveiled a special livery for the Miami Grand Prix ahead of the team’s first home race in Formula 1, PA Media/dpa reported.
The one-off design integrates the Stars and Stripes motif into Cadillac’s signature black-and-white colour scheme, while there are also 50 stars on the front wing to represent each American state and ‘USA’ appears on the rear wing in shades of red, white, and blue.
Cadillac drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez will also wear specially-designed race suits over the weekend, as F1 returns following the cancellations in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
“This is our first home race, and it mattered to us that fans still recognise what they have come to know. I can’t wait for the crowd to see it on track for the first time – there’s no place like home,” Cadillac F1’s chief brand advisor Cassidy Towriss said.
