BANGKOK, May 17 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The train driver in the Bangkok train-bus collision case tested positive for drugs, Thai media reported on Sunday, according to Xinhua.
On Saturday afternoon, a train travelling from Chachoengsao Province to Bang Sue in Bangkok collided with a bus at a railway crossing in the centre of Bangkok, triggering a fire accompanied by popping sounds. Several other cars and motorcycles were also involved. The accident has caused eight deaths and 32 injuries. All the deceased were passengers on the bus.
More detailed urine test results of the train driver and the railway crossing signalman will be officially announced on Monday, and the relevant personnel will be charged, Thai police said.
