SEREMBAN, May 26 (Bernama) -- Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad (Matrix Concepts) is contributing 50 per cent of the total project cost for phase one of the relocation and development of the new SJK(T) Ladang Labu Bahagian 4, here.
Its co-chief executive officer, Tan Sze Chee, said construction for phase one is targeted for completion by October 2027, with an estimated development cost of approximately RM8.9 million.
She said that under the proposed collaboration, the development is expected to feature a four-storey academic block with 12 classrooms, science and computer rooms, a library, preschool facilities, administrative offices, a multipurpose hall, a canteen, a school field, a guardhouse, and other supporting educational amenities.
“We are delighted to support the relocation of the school from its early beginnings within a small estate community to a larger and more conducive environment that we hope will continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.
“We believe meaningful townships are built not only through infrastructure, but also through the strength of the communities and institutions that grow within them, with education remaining an important pillar in shaping future generations,” she said in a statement today.
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) between Matrix Concepts and the Board of Governors of SJK(T) Ladang Labu Bahagian 4, Labu, today was witnessed by Negeri Sembilan state executive councillor for local government development, housing and transport, J. Arul Kumar, and Matrix Concepts founder and group executive deputy chairman, Datuk Seri Lee Tian Hock.
According to Tan, this collaboration signifies the commitment to support the proposed relocation and development of the school, aimed at providing a more conducive and future-ready learning environment for students.
Currently operating with approximately 20 students, the school is expected to accommodate a larger student population following the completion of the new campus, supported by the area’s existing surrounding communities as well as the future growth and population expansion anticipated from the upcoming Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV) City developments over the next two to three years.
“With the relocation and development of a new campus in a more suitable location, the school’s capacity can be expanded to accommodate a larger number of students in the future, while creating greater opportunities for children in the surrounding areas to access education in a more comfortable, safe and conducive learning environment,” she added.
