ALOR SETAR, Jan 11 (Bernama) — Kedah Darul Aman (KDA) FC interim head coach Victor Andrag hopes his team's winning streak will continue despite the salary arrears issue they are facing.
He said that despite losing several key players earlier, he is optimistic that the players present will be able to display good quality of play.
"Congratulations to all the players...with our current situation (salary problem), they are still able to give victories...I hope we can continue this streak.
"Despite problems like this, they have the desire to contribute something to the team...credit must be given to all the players who played hard tonight," he said.
He told reporters after the Super League match in which KDA FC edged Kelantan Darul Naim FC (KDN FC) 1-0 at Darul Aman Stadium here last night.
The only goal of the game was scored by Mohamad Fayadh Zulkifli Amin in the 16th minute.
Meanwhile, KDN FC assistant head coach, Rezal Zambery Yahya also praised the determination shown by his players despite narrowly losing the match.
According to him, his men managed to create at least three good chances to score, but their poor finishing prevented them from scoring.
"There are many things we need to improve on, especially converting every opportunity into a goal. I thank all the players, they still fought and played hard," he said.
