NEW YORK, June 28 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar weakened in late trading on Thursday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.14 per cent to 105.906 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro increased to US$1.0706 from US$1.0680 in the previous session, and the British pound climbed to US$1.2645 from US$1.2621 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 160.77 Japanese yen, higher than 160.70 Japanese yen of the previous session. The greenback also advanced to 0.8985 Swiss francs from 0.8973 Swiss francs. However, it was down to 1.3693 Canadian dollars from 1.3703 Canadian dollars previously.
Against the Swedish Krona, the US dollar rose to 10.6208 Swedish kronor from 10.5743 Swedish kronor.
