NEW YORK, Sept 5 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar weakened in late trading on Wednesday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.46 per cent to 101.357 at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro increased to US$1.1076 from US$1.1038 in the previous session, and the British pound rose to US$1.3141 from US$1.3100 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 143.89 Japanese yen, lower than 145.81 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar decreased to 0.8471 Swiss francs from 0.8504 Swiss francs, and it declined to 1.3519 Canadian dollars from 1.3548 Canadian dollars. The US dollar lost to 10.2886 Swedish Kronor from 10.3136 Swedish Kronor.
