Petrol Stations, Two Individuals Fined RM180,150 After Pleading Guilty To Illegal Diesel Sales

BUTTERWORTH, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- Two petrol stations, along with their director, along with another petrol station owner were fined a total of RM180,150 by the Sessions Court here today after they plead guilty to 25 seperate charges of violating the Control of Supply Regulations 1974.

Judge Roslan Hamid imposed a fine of RM72,000 on Soren Service Station Sdn Bhd for eight charges and RM27,000 on Giantz Service Station Sdn Bhd for three charges, while their director Jimmy Ng Choo Teong was fined RM51,150 for 11 charges and would be subject to four months’ jail if he failed to settle the fines.

The judge also fined Hextra Service Station owner Haris Fadhillah Mohd Rosli, 49, RM30,000 after he plead guilty to three charges and would face six months’ jail if he failed to settle the fine.

The individuals plead guilty to selling diesel over the permitted quantity under the order of the supply officer and committed the offences at several petrol stations in Central Seberang Perai and South Seberang Perai in January.

Deputy public prosecutor S Preeya Darrsini led the prosecution, lawyer A Rueban Kumar represented Ng, while Haris Fadhillah was unrepresented.
