KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 (Bernama) -- Petronas Dagangan Bhd posted a lower net profit of RM281.25 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025 (3Q) compared with RM335.13 million recorded in the same period a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter under review slipped to RM9.53 billion versus RM9.73 billion previously.
“The group’s revenue for the quarter decreased by RM194.6 million, or two per cent, mainly attributed to a six per cent decline in average selling prices, despite a four per cent increase in sales volume,” it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.
On outlook, the company said the domestic economy is expected to remain resilient in 2025, supported by strong private consumption, bolstered by the BUDI95 initiative and growing inbound tourism ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.
“Inflation is projected to remain moderate, offering a stable macroeconomic environment,” it said.
Nevertheless, Petronas Dagangan said the external environment continues to present challenges amid the ongoing global market uncertainty and expectations of softer oil prices.
Meanwhile, in a separate filing, the company has declared an interim dividend of 24 sen per ordinary share for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2025.
