KUALA TERENGGANU, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) has commended volunteer member Pvt (PA) Mohamad Armin Zahryl Abdul Latif for winning the bronze medal in the men’s 110-metre hurdles at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games.
APM, in a statement, said his achievement brought pride to the nation and reflected the strong spirit he demonstrated as a member of the force.
In recognition of his achievement, the 20-year-old received the Chief Commissioner’s Certificate of Commendation during a ceremony at APM Headquarters in Kajang, Selangor.
“The Chief Commissioner’s Certificate of Commendation is the highest recognition within APM. It is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions and brought honour to the force, the organisation, and the country.
“Recipients also receive a special emblem and badge as symbols of honour and the highest recognition from APM,” the statement said.
APM added that it was hopeful that the award would not only inculcate a spirit of excellence and motivate Mohamad Armin Zahryl, but also further strengthen the organisation’s reputation for producing competent, disciplined, and high-performing members at national and international levels.
Mohamad Armin Zahryl secured the bronze medal with a time of 13.85 seconds.
In the final, Mohamad Armin Zahryl finished third behind John Christopher Tolentino of the Philippines, who won gold with 13.66 seconds, and Ang Chen Xiang of Singapore, who took silver with 13.75 seconds.
