KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA), the leading affordable housing agency for the M40 group, achieved remarkable success after winning six awards at the QUEST 2025 organised by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) today.

The awards, presented by Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, were in recognition of four PR1MA projects under the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) that excelled in two categories based on their Quality Assessment System for Building Construction Works (QLASSIC) scores.

In a statement. PRIMA said Residensi Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur and Residensi Melaka Tengah 2 in Melaka, which scored 82 per cent and 79 per cent respectively, received the Excellence Award under the Government Project B Category.

“Residensi Brickfields was also named the recipient of the Top Achievement Award - Government Project B Category, further strengthening PR1MA’s reputation as a developer of high-quality affordable housing,” read the statement.

At the same event, PR1MA also received the Special Recognition (QLASSIC) Award from CIDB for its ongoing commitment to upholding high construction standards and consistently applying the QLASSIC framework across its projects nationwide.

Meanwhile, PR1MA Group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Md Shariff said the success proved that affordable housing can achieve the same quality standards as open-market projects.

He said the recognition serves as motivation for PR1MA to continue improving construction quality, maintaining excellence, and reinforcing its position as a leading provider of affordable homes for the M40 group.

“This also supports the government’s aspiration to provide quality, sustainable and affordable homes for Malaysians,” he said.

QUEST 2025 is being held in conjunction with the International Construction Week and the Malaysia International Construction and Building Industry Exhibition from Oct 28 to 30 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

The event brings together government agencies, developers and industry players to discuss innovation, sustainability and transformation in the construction sector.
