KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 (Bernama) -- Exclusive merchandise specially produced for the National Journalists’ Day (HAWANA) 2026 celebrations in Penang will be available for purchase by guests attending the event on June 20.
The limited-edition collection comprises a bomber jacket (RM59), a collared T-shirt (RM37) and a round-neck T-shirt (RM30), each bearing the official HAWANA 2026 identity and logo, making them commemorative items for this year’s celebration.
According to the HAWANA 2026 Secretariat, the special-edition merchandise collection is available at the HAWANA Official Merchandise booth at PICCA@ Arena Butterworth Convention Centre, the venue for the highlight of the HAWANA 2026 celebrations.
“This exclusive collection, which serves as a gesture of support and remembrance, will be available throughout the event, while stocks last,” it said.
The highlight of the HAWANA 2026 celebrations, themed “Media Integrity Strengthens Credibility”, is scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The HAWANA celebration is organised by the Ministry of Communications, with the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) as the implementing agency.
The main celebration of HAWANA 2026 is the largest gathering of media practitioners in Malaysia, aimed at recognising the contributions and professionalism of journalists in national development.
In addition to the main event, the Penang edition of the celebration will feature the RIUH Pi HAWANA Carnival, a three-day programme starting June 19 that combines creative arts elements with dialogue sessions and offers various activities suitable for all ages.
