KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 5 (Bernama) -- Azerbaijan is keen to collaborate and exchange experiences with Malaysia’s state agencies in public service delivery and social innovation, said its ambassador to Malaysia, Irfan Davudov.
Davudov said his country would like to share the experiences and efficiency of Azerbaijan’s Service and Assessment Network (ASAN xidmet) with Malaysia, hoping such a move could bring benefits for both sides in the area of public service delivery and innovation.
He emphasised that such collaboration could transform public service productivity, showcasing the advancements of ASAN services alongside similar Malaysian agencies.
Davudov specifically mentioned potential cooperation with Malaysia’s Urban Transformation Centre (UTC), launched in June 2012, focusing on knowledge and experience exchanges.
“The two countries can establish cooperation and share their experiences, address challenges, organise joint trainings and visits for officers of the agencies involved.
“We believe there are valuable experiences that ASAN can learn from the UTC model and other Malaysian government agencies involved in public service delivery and social innovation, and vice-versa,” he said.
Davudov believes that such collaboration can also help expand and strengthen the bilateral ties in the field of public administration.
Azerbaijan and Malaysia established diplomatic ties in 1993.
The award-winning ASAN xidmet is the country’s most advanced model of public service delivery established under the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations (SAPSSI) in 2012. It is a unique one-stop-shop model that offers over 400 services to Azerbaijan’s 10.4 million population, provided by 15 public and 30 private organisations under one roof.
Davudov said the ASAN service has successfully eliminated corruption at all levels of public service delivery, contributing to Azerbaijan’s overall economic well-being, and thereby increasing public trust in the government.
“We are trying to promote this initiative all over the world, and in fact, several countries have already created their own ASAN services, based on our model,” he added.
