NEW YORK, July 31 (Bernama-Xinhua) -- The US dollar remained nearly unchanged in late trading on Tuesday, reported Xinhua.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, lost 0.01 per cent to 104.555 at 3:00 pm (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro decreased to US$1.0811 from US$1.0822 in the previous session, and the British pound lost to US$1.2833 from US$1.2864 in the previous session.
The US dollar bought 153.27 Japanese yen, lower than 153.98 Japanese yen of the previous session. The US dollar fell to 0.8837 Swiss francs from 0.8863 Swiss francs, and it dropped to 1.3851 Canadian dollars from 1.3852 Canadian dollars. The US dollar was down to 10.7806 Swedish kronor from 10.8267 Swedish kronor.
